Innovations, scientific consulting, projects, inspections and tests: The Department of Research and Development in the Hochschule für Architektur, Bau und Holz (School of Architecture, Civil and Wood Engineering), HSB, enables small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions to plan, coordinate and implement projects on national and international levels.
A team of around 40 engineers, architects, and specialists works in the service of industry and society. This means that new perspectives are opening up for the partners.
The specialists provide clients with services such as feasibility studies, production optimisations, product inspections and tests, etc., whether in the field of architecture, building and construction, or in more specific domains such as furnishings and interior design, or geo- technics.
The team also works in science and technology transfer and in the sphere of business management. It creates the link between research institutes and partners from the private and public sector.
Analyses, consulting, development, as well as research into new processes and products for architecture, civil engineering and the wood industry - these are the buttresses supporting the range of services and performance offered by the team.
